I got up this morning and as I walked to the dining room, our new living quarters, this was the site that greeted me. I know I said it before, I thought I knew what I was in for but I had no idea my house would be this dirty. I spent yesterday saying to Tom I can put up with the mess and turmoil but where do you start to clean when it's done. I still don't know :) Maybe I should say :( I'm telling myself that this is the worst of it but I know deep inside that it isn't - the worst will come when we start trying to clean.

Looking forward to what tomorrow will bring. I think we've finished destructing, now we start constructing.

This was my home on Saturday

This was my home yesterday. Not sure what I expected. You'll notice the later it got in the day the dustier it got. I thought cutting off two rooms for ourselves would be okay, that they'd stay clean. Keep dreaming Veronica :)

November 28

It's almost all out now, Tom just has a couple of cupboards to go. The furniture has been moved to dining room, family room and our bedroom and I guess we live like this now for a few weeks. I must say I didn't know our kitchen/great room was such a big room - think I kinda like it open and not closed in with cupboards. Just hard to live that way with nowhere to store dishes :)

Tomorrow starts the real construction - the floor is removed and I know I'll wish I lived somewhere else.

The Kitchen Makeover, November, 2010

I should have known it wouldn't be as easy as I was thinking. One day in and I'm whipped and all I've done pack things away.

My pictures are backwards but you get the idea of what it looked like yesterday and what it looked like at 4:30 this afternoon.

Tomorrow I'll try to do this when I'm not so tired. Goodnight.
