Day 1 has ended seeing us drive through beautiful sunshine and torrential downpours and Chicago rush hour traffic. Tom says it was unbelievable, \i had no problem believing it.
We're now between Chicago and Springfield in a tiny town called Dwight and have just come to the motel after eating at a 50's diner on route 66.Decided to share a picture of where Tom said we were going today - oh he meant we'd just drive by it. But yes, the White Sox play there.
