Day 8

We hadn't gone very far this morning when we came across this area where huge bolders had fallen from the mountains and were right up to the road. We got out to have a look when one of the natives asked Tom if he could hold up this bolder for them. Unfortunately I got tired of sitting and waiting so I left Tom in this position. Not sure how long they need him for but I'll go back tomorrow to see if he's finished.
We thought yesterday was beautiful but it was nothinhg compared to toda. We traveled to the dam at Lake Powell and then headed north (kind of) and went through Zion National Park. The road out of Page brought me to tears, I don';t think I have ever seen anything so beautiful.
When we reached the Park we couldn't believe our eyes, mountains on both sides in splendid colours - red with white on top. Lots of stops today to enjoy another beautiful sunny day.
Tonight we're in Panguitch, Utah and excited about seeing Bryce Canyon tomorrow and on from there.
