An earlier starft today, we must be keen to see more country. Pictures show we have gone from good grasslands, to rough pasture, to grains and back to rough and through the American version of the bad lands. Oil rigs and wind turbines and majestic outcrops of rock also filled our day which we ended in Tucumcari, New Mexico.
Tom had the thrill of his life today, or at least one of them, he found where a couple of words come from that he has taken a fancy to - Kickapoo Joy Juice comes from the Kickapoo Indians and the other one has slipped our minds for the moment :)
We saw Tulsa and Oklahoma City but mostly countryside. Matt would love the 120 speed limit but the police presence is quite surprising, most people obey the limit.
Oklahoma has the most beautiful lands beside the highways - manicured like our lawns - but they don't remove dead deer from the roadside (six and counting), The police do a good job of running the motorbike gangs out of state too, we literally saw a group of well over 100 going in the opposite direction to us.
Tom wore his Sunday-go-meeting shirt today but when we got to the church we'd picked out we were late, church starts at 10:30 not 11:00.
I think what has struck us the most on our drive is the vastness of the country. What a big God we have to own all that we see, even all the cattle in the feedlot in Texas.
I was really excited there for a minute as I thought you meant 120mph. Then I realized you were talking in km/h.
