Day 21

Our goal today was to see a sight that is absolutely amazing and unbelievable. A pile of sand that takes up 30 square miles - a big sand box lol. No kidding these sand dunes are up to 750 feet high and you just don't believbe it until you see it.

This water flows down from the mountains behind the dunes and flows on either side. Believe me I didn't stay in it very long, it was freezing. This park is a must for any family with children or any adult who's a child at heart. Unfortunately the kid in us didn't get to play as we didn't come prepared for a wet prosthesis or any way to keep it dry. Or at least that's what Tom said.
lol
Our next stop for the day was in Colorado Springs and was to ride a big persons train :)
Actually we rode a cog train up to the top of Pike's Peak - 14110 ft up. It took an hour to get up there, an hour spent at the summit and an hour coming back down. What an adventure and what a sight - we've never seen anything like it.

We've ended our day in Colorado Springs feeling tired but clean and looking forward to what tomorrow will bring.
